Volunteer
Work Parties
Goldmyer would not exist today without the hard work of dedicated volunteers!
There is never a shortage of projects underway at Goldmyer Hot Springs and assistance is always appreciated.
To get involved, please complete the working member application (download before filling out and save before sending) and email it to our volunteer coordinator (GoldmyerVolunteer@outlook.com).
Some common volunteer projects include trail work, maintenance, construction, fund-raising, office tasks, education, forest rehabilitation, supplies hauling, and more.
Working Members
Working members who volunteer 10 hours on approved work projects receive a 4-visit pass.
Experience is not required and all skill levels are welcome.
Voting Members
Working members with at least two years active working membership may become eligible for voting membership, which enables them to vote for NWWP's Board of Directors.
Board Meetings
The Northwest Wilderness Program's board of directors and volunteers meet once a month at the Seattle office. Meetings may also be attended via Zoom. Call the office for information on how to attend.
Board meetings are normally held on the first Monday of every month at 6:00 pm. In the case of holidays, the meeting usually happens the following Monday.
The annual meeting is typically held in the month of February (see calendar for exact dates).
Meetings are open to the public and we welcome your input and interest.
Discussions can include subjects ranging from maintenance projects, management concerns, policies, legal issues, as well as activity in the Middle Fork Valley and how it may impact the springs.
The nine board members include a diverse group of backgrounds and experiences to strengthen the organizations ability to balance preservation with public access at the hot springs.
Visitor feedback and involvement is always welcome.
